چکیده
Design techniques for the vacuum insulation have been developed in order to realize a reliable voltage holding capability of multi-aperture multi-grid (MAMuG) accelerators for fusion application. In this method, the nested multi-stage configuration of the MAMuG accelerator can be uniquely designed to satisfy the target voltage within given boundary conditions. The evaluation of the voltage holding capabilities of each acceleration stages was based on the previous experimental results about the area effect and the multi-aperture effect. Since the multi-grid effect was found to be the extension of the area effect by the total facing area this time, the total voltage holding capability of the multi-stage can be estimated from that per single stage by assuming the stage with the highest electric field, the total facing area, and the total apertures. By applying these consideration, the analysis on the 3-stage MAMuG accelerator for JT-60SA agreed well with the past gap-scan experiments with an accuracy of less than 10% variation, which demonstrated the high reliability to design MAMuG accelerators and also multi-stage high voltage bushings.

Demonstration of 500 keV beam acceleration on JT-60 negative-ion-based neutral beam injector
Hydrogen negative ion beams of 486 keV, 2.8A and 507 keV, 1A have been successfully produced in the JT-60U negative ion source with multi aperture, multi grid accelerator of three stages. This is the first accomplishment of the H beam acceleration up to 500 keV at high-current of > 1 A. These successful productions of the high-energy beams at high current have been achieved by overcoming a poor...

متن کاملEvaluation of dosimetric characteristics of a grid block fabricated for Mega-voltage grid therapy purposes
Background: In conventional radiation therapy, regarding normal tissue tolerance, the treatment of bulk tumors is one of the remaining challenges. Grid Radiation Therapy (GRT) is a technique to deliver high doses, approximately 15 – 20 Gy per fraction, to several small volumes located in a large radiation field. This can be performed using a grid block. The current work has concentrate...
متن کاملA heuristic approach for multi-stage sequence-dependent group scheduling problems
We present several heuristic algorithms based on tabu search for solving the multi-stage sequence-dependent group scheduling (SDGS) problem by considering minimization of makespan as the criterion. As the problem is recognized to be strongly NP-hard, several meta (tabu) search-based solution algorithms are developed to efficiently solve industry-size problem instances. Also, two different initi...
